The Originals
Beef and chicken are certainly a staple of the meat-eater’s diet and so they should be – sometimes there’s nothing better than a succulent herby chicken or beef burger to give you that warm and subtle excitement. So we figured if we’re going to do it, may as well do it properly, right? We’ve sourced the finest chuck of rare-breed beef and the fresh, grade A, skinless chicken breast for our Burger-smiths to rustle up for you.
Ostrich
A prehistoric favourite lost under the meat-eater’s radar for millennia, this big ol’ bird hides a dark and delicious secret under those flightless feathers. A very lean, red meat with more vitamins than you can shake a fork at! Here comes the science bit; one serving of ground ostrich delivers 84% of your daily vitamin B-12, 51% of your Selenium intake and about a quarter of your daily Niacin, vitamin B-6, prosperous and zinc. B-12 is a nutrient that keeps the body’s nerve and blood-cells healthy and makes DNA. Humans can’t produce B-12. Selenium helps defend against cancer, especially if you have a weak immune system, so there’s zero guilt when tucking into a Burgersmith Ostrich bonanza!
Kangaroo
Pouncing to your plate all the way from down-under, the low-fat Kangaroo burger is a humanely harvested and sustainable meat. In fact, there are strict codes of conduct surrounding the sourcing of this critter which we follow to the letter. If you haven’t tried Kangaroo before then you should be excited, really excited. It’s delightfulness comes from the fact that they are caught from the wild; no antibiotics, no chemicals – a super clean and healthy choice, the way it was supposed to be. 150 grams will provide you with 66% of your recommended protein and top up your Omega three while you’re at it!
Italian Water-Buffalo
Alora! Hailed by many as the closest and tastiest alternative to beef, Buffalo is not only lower in fat and richer in protein than it’s meaty counterparts including pork and turkey, but the low cholesterol of this lean-meanie means you can enjoy an Italian Water-Buffalo burger with all the trimmings and still be kind to your ticker! Perfecto!
